Easter Bonnet Parade/Contest, March 31, 2024
The UUCHC 12/31 New Year’s service celebrated the connections of our congregation with each other, our community and the greater world .
The Chalice Table, by Carolyn Dreyer, featured a paper “Chain of Connections” with a link for each of the organizations our 59 members and friends actively support. During the service, everyone signed a personal link to add to the Chain which will be displayed all year.

UUs were out in force at Saturday’s huge Women’s March rally and Rev Phillip made his Community Outreach debut as the ONLY clergy present…being introduced to and chatting with almost everyone there.
The rally, planned in secret, to avoid disruption, was one of the largest in recent memory and, amazingly, was applauded by the majority of passersby.
There is HOPE!!

The folks at the Hill Country Crisis Council were more than happy to receive the UUCHC’s generous August 29 Donate the Plate offering. Carolyn Dreyer presented the check for $557 to Brent Ives, HCCC director, and Stephenie Cantu of the HCCC’s Kids Advocacy Place (KAP).
Peg Hainey of the UU Fellowship presented a $1,000 check for Kerr Konnect to KK founder and UUCHC member Mike Burkett. Happily helping him accept the generous donation are Kerr Konnect volunteers and UUCHC members Carolyn Dreyer, Sherri Curry and Gary Payne.
